The Laboratory of Applied Soil Science was established in 1964. Through the years it performed significant work in applied and basic research. As a result, a vast number of papers have been published in National and International scientific journals. The first two decades the Laboratory was involved mainly in scientific issues relating to agriculture. The following years and up to nowadays is systematically occupied in environmental scientific issues and more specifically in the pollution and soil degradation.
